Korean Dream, established in Mongolia in 2008,
oversees projects there including the Green Eco-Energy Park
project (GEEP) and a greenhouse gas reduction project. In addition
to the energy and environment industries, Korean Dream is planning
to make inroads in finding ways to support Mongolia¡¯s domestic
and overseas trading, the construction and resource development
business, real estate and finance businesses, agricultural businesses
and the culture industry.
In particular the GEEP project in Ulaanbaatar has been recognized
as a sustainable flagship model that prevents desertification
through use of environment-friendly hybrid solar and wind power
system, and by promoting exchanges between Korean and Mongolia,
the project has set an example for positive international relations.
In the mid- to long-term, the company plans to obtain resources
through bituminous coal mining and tin and gold mine development,
as well as participating in large scale agricultural projects.
Utilizing solar energy, the company plans to carry out green
construction projects and participate in philanthropic projects
to help solve food shortages, fulfilling Daesung Group¡¯s role
as nothing less than a socially responsible and eco-friendly
global company.
