Daesung
America was established in Delaware in 2005 and currently has
office in Los Angeles. The provision of food is a core industry
with significant potential thus the company is working to build
its base in the United States. With the rising interest in health,
there is an increasing demand for organic products. Therefore,
in 2007, the company bought a new farm and is currently running
an organic almond farm in Modesto, California. Daesung America
plans to purchase more farms to expand its business in organic
almonds. The company will also share technology and know-how
concerning production of organic goods with Australia, New Zealand,
Mongolia and Korea. Through collaboration with university-level
research centers in Boston and California, Daesung America is
planning to pursue additional sectors such as the development
of new and renewable energy sources.
